Retro Groove was established in 2000 by Daryl Barnett and the late Chris Bystrom. Master Shaper Bradley(Ralph) Riddell owned the shop from 2006 to 2008.The shop is currently owned by surf enthusiast Peter Nicholson. The store specialises in local and international 1950’s to modern day surf collectibles.The collection includes surfboards, records, posters, photographs, artwork, dvds, books, videos and clothing aimed at the discerning mature surfing fanatics and the new breed of young collectors. Retro Groove has exclusive selling rights to the FRED LANG collection of Historical Photographs Retro Groove is the HOME of Michael Peterson Surfboards, Retrogroove Funshapes, Ralph Riddell Shapes, Neal Purchase Jnr.Shapes and Dick Brewer Longboards. Retro Groove specialises in "OLD SKOOL" Retro shapes and the "DIFFERENT". We do quality renovations and repairs to all types of watercraft. |
